On 12th July 2023, Hanns Seidel Foundation in partnership with Strathmore Law School hosted a dialogue forum: “Democratic Transitions in Africa: A Case Study on Executive Power Transfer in Kenya”, in Nairobi. The forum also provided an opportunity to launch a report of a study that had been commissioned to examine Kenya’s 2022 presidential election and power transfer, looking at what went right, the dynamics and challenges, as well as the lessons for Kenya and other African states. The forum and report are part of the Africa Democratic Transitions Project, implemented by Hanns Seidel Foundation in partnership with Strathmore Law School.
